Squad Day 21: Walking in the Rain
I woke up to another rainy day today. But I told myself I would not be deterred from my walk today. When I first woke, my feet felt fine, maybe a little puffy but without pain. I decided to get dressed right away and get on my walk before anything could change my mind.

Yrsa was less enthusiastic about going for a walk in the rain. She did her business and was done after a single lap, so I brought her back home to the kids and my husband, and I kept on going with my 5 remaining laps. I set a brisk pace so I wouldn’t get too soaked with rain or cold and plowed on.
I wasn’t kidding when I said the switch flipped in Michigan on Autumn Equinox. We literally just had 80 degrees last week, and now it’s like it’s stuck on “soggy Fall,” mode and 50 degrees outside. Hopefully it will dry out in a day or two and just be cooler with pretty leaves, I like that part. I used to really love the rain and even went out and played in it often not too many years ago, but these days rain storms cause my nerves so much pain, I tend to just be grumpy when it rains for too many days straight.
I was limping a little by the time I finished my 6 laps, not because of any major issues, just the ache in the side of my right foot became pretty intense by the end. I also had this fun little pins and needles numb spot in the ball of my foot that was driving me nuts.
I’m finally done canning apple everything, so I’ll get the chance to spend some time on recipes today! First up is an Apple Breakfast Bar. I’m starving already, so I’m going to get started on it right now.
