A Little TLC

“Dinner, bath, and a book,” Nesta said aloud, shaking her head in something close to awe. “It’s perfect. There could be no better description of my evening tonight. As I continue to work through Valkyrie Squad, I’ve learned the art of a slow evening of healing. Another benefit among many, it is now a great love of mine.

As a Mother I have learned the skill of the efficiency shower, and forgotten what its like to revel in the relief of a hot bath. Now that I’m sore 98% of the time, I keep finding myself lingering in the water as long as I can.

I took the hint from this passage the last time I read it, and I added Rosemary from the garden and Lavender essential oil, along with epsom salts, to a super hot tub tonight, shortly after dinner. And I gave in to the healing properties of a good bath on sore muscles.

I’ve had another book written by Sarah J Maas in my Kindle Library for a good while now. I figured it was time to read about another of Sarah’s female badasses. I read 26 chapters in my hot, herbal bath tonight and I think I can say I’m hooked in.
